Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Chesapeake, VA. The Rodbuster will perform tasks related to the placement and tying of reinforcing steel for large-scale construction projects. Responsibilities include, cutting and bending rebar, placing and securing rebar in forms, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, standing, and working in various weather conditions over extended periods of time.
Qualifications
- Experience with placing and tying reinforcing steel.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as rebar cutters, bending equipment, and tying tools.
- Understanding of relevant safety standards and compliance measures; ability to recognize potential hazards and work safely in different environments.
- Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift, carry, bend, and work in repetitive motions for extended durations in various conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse team members and supervisors.
- Previous experience as a rodbuster or reinforcing steel installation is preferred.
