RFQ & Proposal Development
- Review and interpret customer RFQs, RFIs, specifications, and part prints
- Translate customer requirements into technical concepts and proposal solutions
- Develop complete proposal packages including:
- Technical concepts
- Layouts
- Cost estimates
- Scope descriptions
- Prepare proposal documentation and technical content for customer quotations
- Support internal proposal reviews and customer submissions
- Develop layout concepts for fluid fill and end-of-line assembly systems
- Create and review layouts using AutoCAD
- Perform cycle time analysis and manufacturing flow evaluations
- Support feasibility reviews with engineering and operations teams
- Develop system concepts based on RFQ requirements
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Product Line teams during the RFQ process
- Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions
- Provide technical clarification following quotation submission
- Support project handoff and sales turnover activities
- Assist Product Line Managers and Project Managers with technical support
- Obtain supplier quotations for major purchased components
- Develop budgetary estimates for new equipment and system modifications
- Prepare machine content descriptions and scope documentation
- Support development of bills of material and “as-sold” documentation
- Maintain and distribute applications engineering documentation
- Support global Dürr divisions on international opportunities
- Collaborate with global applications engineering and product teams
- Contribute to standardized and modular product solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting RFQs and technical proposals for industrial or automation systems
- Experience with automated assembly or manufacturing systems
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly flow
- Experience developing technical layouts and system concepts
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and part drawings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T
- Practical understanding of mechanical systems including:
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
- Automation equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams
- Ability to balance multiple RFQs and deadlines
