- Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking procedures to support clinical diagnostics and research projects.
- Manage laboratory data meticulously using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring integrity and confidentiality of all information.
- Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture, blood sampling, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and specimen handling for various assays.
- Maintain rigorous laboratory techniques such as aseptic technique, physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and blood banking procedures to guarantee high-quality results.
- Oversee laboratory operations including inventory management, equipment calibration, quality control measures, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on clinical trials and research laboratories to execute assays accurately and analyze complex data sets.
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards and medical terminology accuracy while documenting all procedures thoroughly.
- Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical laboratories or research laboratories with hands-on skills in laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking.
- Strong data management skills with proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to laboratory testing.
- Experience performing venipuncture (phlebotomy), blood sampling, specimen collection/processing, and vital signs measurement.
- Familiarity with hospital laboratory procedures and safety standards including aseptic techniques and blood banking protocols.
