Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong background in large horizontal boring mill to join our team. This role involves machining medium to large components, setting up jobs on horizontal boring mills, and working from complex blueprints and tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and inspect work on large CNC horizontal boring mills.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds/feeds, and workholding
- Use precision measuring tools to verify part quality
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work with supervisors on process improvements
- Complete and understand documentation needed to comply with company policies, Quality Manual and procedures.
Qualifications
- 3 years CNC machining experience, preferably horizontal boring mill
- Experience with large workpieces
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals and tooling
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle large fixtures safely
