This is a full-time on-site Jr. Estimator role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Jr. Estimator will support the estimation team in preparing detailed cost analyses for various construction projects. Responsibilities include reviewing project plans, analyzing subcontractor bids, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers. This role also involves assisting in developing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets within the company’s established quality and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
- Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control in construction-related projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple deadlines effectively
- Proficiency with construction estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills particularly when comparing bids and project costs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience in the construction industry, particularly in new and rehab projects, is a plus
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
