Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safety and functionality.
- Conduct repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Execute residential painting projects and perform facilities maintenance tasks to enhance property appearance and safety standards.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors during specialized repairs like welding or electrical upgrades while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Support customer service initiatives by responding promptly to tenant or resident requests for repairs or assistance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits with tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques for metal repairs and fabrication projects.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Leadership or supervising experience to coordinate team efforts efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
