Bakery Clerk

D'Onofrio's Food Center has been proudly serving the Shenango Valley for over 100 years. We are a small family owned business in our fourth generation. Our community is very tight-knit, everyone who enters our building is treated like family. We want to expand this family by adding a valued Bakery Clerk to our top-performing Bakery Department. You must have a passion for providing excellent customer service and fresh delicious food in an efficient manner. We offer a competitive wage and excellent benefits to qualified staff. This position starts out as part-time, working up to 29.5 hours per week. We are flexible and work around school schedules.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Frequent interactions with our valued customers and staff. Providing only the best customer service experience.
• Preps and examines inventory so it is properly supplied.
• Prepares special orders, answering telephone, accurately take cake orders.
• Operates bread slicers, scales, and other department equipment.
• Communicates with department manager on low stock item.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area periodically during shift, and during shut-down.
• Keep positive and professional working relationships with teammate.
• Complete tasks in a efficient timely manner
• Other duties as assigned by department manager

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to delivery friendly and prompt customer service.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8 hrs/day.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems.
• Positive can-do attitude!
• Be a collaborative and effective team player.
• 1 or more years of experience in a similar role is helpful, but willing to train.
