- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Support clients in community integration by accompanying them to appointments, social events, or recreational activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to develop individualized care plans.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or working in a nursing home or group home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
- Strong cooking skills for meal preparation that meets the dietary requirements of clients.
