Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Support clients in social, educational, and recreational activities to promote engagement and skill development
- Assist with transportation needs using personal or agency vehicles for appointments, community outings, or errands
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual’s needs to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect data on client progress and behaviors to inform care plans and support team collaboration
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent and compassionate care delivery
