Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld throughout the office space. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive atmosphere for employees and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all office areas.
• Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools with care and precision.
• Use appropriate chemical agents safely for disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas following safety protocols.
• Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring types to ensure a pristine appearance.
• Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
• Follow strict safety procedures during chemical handling and manual handling tasks to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing cleaning requests promptly and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in an office or commercial environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools is essential.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean workspace.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during supplies or equipment movement.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning roles will be considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent time management skills ensures all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.

Pay: $22.96 - $27.65 per hour
