Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Shop Hand to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is essential in supporting daily operations within our factory environment, assisting with assembly, equipment maintenance, and general shop duties. Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials and supplies around the warehouse and manufacturing floor.
- Support the setup and organization of workstations, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Help with inventory management by receiving, storing, and issuing materials accurately.
- Support the team on the assembly line by providing materials and tools as needed to maintain workflow.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly processes is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and hand tools is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
- Warehouse experience including material handling and inventory management is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
