We have an opportunity for a Weekend Transportation Specialist to join our talented team here at D.M. Bowman Inc!
Our Weekend Transportation Specialist will assume responsibility and accountability of our trucking division through the weekend. This position functions on a 12 hour shift, Saturday through Monday, 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM; with a one hour lunch.
Scope of Responsibility:
- Enforce and maintain all safety and regulatory guidelines
- Meet customer expectations for service and reporting.
- Look for new opportunities to expand our network.
- Ensure optimal efficiency of asset usage and freight assignment.
- Promote retention of company drivers thorough open communication, positive relationships, accountability, and correct utilization of resources.
- Coordinate with Fleet Managers as needed to assist or develop efficiencies across networks.
- Maintain regular communication with the Sales department and Operational leadership.
- Other operations, or managerial duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Three years of Transportation Experience Required.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Experience in an AS400 environment is preferred
