What are the responsibilities and job description for the 10 Car Short Haul CDL Class A Driver (1099 Position) position at D&M Auto Leasing?
D&M Auto Leasing seeks a 1099-Class A CDL Driver for the nation’s largest auto leasing company. This position has the opportunity of becoming a W-2 position at a later date.
You will be delivering vehicles mainly during business hours Monday through Friday and potentially Saturdays. We’ll rely on you to represent D&M Leasing professionally and provide a great customer experience. You must be well-organized, stay connected, and confident in safely hauling multiple vehicles at one time.
Candidates can live near Wichita Falls and/or Fort Worth.
\n- Transport vehicles to and from various locations as coordinated by dispatch throughout the state of Texas and Oklahoma
- Stay connected with our logistics team during route to confirm on-time delivery/pickup
- Keep truck stocked with all material needed to complete work assigned
- Complete and maintain daily paperwork as required by management
- Order transport permits as needed
- Notify management when licenses and State and Federal permits need renewing
- Keep truck clean and washed as needed
- Notify management when service or repairs are required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of CDL Class A driving experience
- Experience hauling vehicles required
- Valid Class A CDL with endorsements
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds each day
- Ability to drive for up to eight hours per day with frequent stops
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and up to 12 hours per day
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Implement and adhere to internal policies and procedures
- Ability to complete accurate documents and contracts
- Prioritize effectively to maximize production time
