Job Title: Canine Handler – Dog Daycare
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Summary:
As a Canine Handler, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety, happiness, and well-being of our dog guests. You’ll be actively engaged throughout your shift—supervising group play, cleaning, and providing individualized attention.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage playgroups of up to 15 large-breed dogs at a time, several hours at a time.

Monitor dog behavior closely to prevent or de-escalate conflicts.

Engage dogs in safe, positive play and enrichment activities.

Walk dogs on leash to and from play areas.

Clean up dog waste (urine, feces, vomit) promptly and thoroughly throughout the shift.

Sanitize kennels, play areas, toys, and bowls to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Feed dogs and administer medications according to instructions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding dog behavior, health, or concerns.
Requirements:

Professional experience working with dogs in a related setting (daycare, veterinary clinic, grooming salon, shelter, or pet sitting). DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE.

Physically able to spend many hours outside in all types of weather.

Passion for animals and willingness to continue learning about dog behavior, communication, and pack dynamics.

Able to take direction well and apply it independently.
- Open, flexible schedule—availability on weekends and holidays is required.
Schedule:
- 11am - 7:15pm, 3 - 4 days per week. Occasional 8am - 4pm.
