Pet Groomer

The Charming Canine is looking for an experienced groomer to join our team!

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two year's experience and a love for animals.

As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services, ensuring the safety and comfort of pets while enhancing their appearance. Your expertise in animal handling and grooming techniques will contribute to the overall well-being of our furry clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming for dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet, including any special instructions from owners.
• Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, ensuring their well-being at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
• Utilize your experience to monitor pet health and recognize any potential issues during grooming sessions.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years Grooming Experience
• Awareness of Current Industry Trends
• Tools of the Trade (Clippers, Shears, Combs, Brushes)
• W2 only, no independent contractors.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to a growing team
• You should be able to groom a minimum of 6 to 8 dogs per day.
• Hand scissoring skills and knowledge of all breed cuts.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners effectively.
• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is preferred.
• Be able to bathe, blow/fluff dry, brush out and/or furminate, clean and/ or pluck ears, clip and/or Dremel nails. If you cannot perform these tasks, you will not be considered.
• Strong skills in dog handling and restraint techniques.
• Knowledge of various breeds’ grooming requirements and styles.
• Creative stylist with skills in dying, coat carving and air brush would be a tremendous plus but not required.

We give our experienced groomers all the autonomy they need to manage their own time. You can expect to earn $50K–100K per year, including 50% commission and tips. Let us take care of the phones and the booking.
