As a Commercial Construction Project Manager at D & H Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of commercial construction projects from award through closeout. This role requires hands-on management, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, detail-driven environments. The Project Manager will work closely with subcontractors, clients, property managers, architects, and field superintendents to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee a project team, including a Site Superintendent and Subcontractors, to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage project financials: Track budgets, costs, and overall financial performance of each project.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on timelines, budget status, and any adjustments or changes to the project.
- Utilize Procore to track project milestones, documentation, and communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes and maintain high standards of quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management or 10 years as a site superintendent, and in sectors like class A, Medical, Retail are highly valued.
- A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent field experience.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft and Google Docs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor project teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to strategize and implement solutions quickly.
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening as part of our safety protocols.
