What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at D & G Transportation?
D&G Transportation (Germantown, WI) is celebrating our 40th anniversary as a family-owned, national LTL carrier. We are seeking a full-time 1st shift forklift operator at our climate control storage facility. This is a non-exempt position with a $20 hourly wage, negotiable according to experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently move products in/out of trucks and storage racks in ambient, cooler and freezer temperatures
- Understand and follow Bills of Lading
- Accurately record and report pallet locations
- Help maintain a clean and safe workplace
· Communicate professionally with internal/external stakeholders
Qualifications:
· Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
· Able to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
· High regard for food safety and related policies
· Reliable – ready to start shift at designated time
· Unwavering attention to detail
· Spanish and other language skills are a plus
