D&G is seeking an Enterprise Systems Architect to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Office. The CBRNE Office leads DHS efforts to safeguard the United States against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosives, and related health security threats by coordinating with domestic and international partners.

The Enterprise Systems Architect will be a member of a team providing an ongoing program of analysis to support decisions regarding approaches to fill current and future capability gaps through risk assessments, gap analysis, and CBRNE architecture development.

What You Will Do

• Perform mission pathway/mapping analysis and decomposition considering CBRNE threats.
• Perform capability analysis for systems and architectures and represent these systems and architectures in a visual and written form.
• Apply architectural framework methodology to support development of DoDAF viewpoints and models.
• Support capability assessment studies, gap analysis, and risk assessments.
• Support activities to trace program requirements to CBRNE architecture.
• Support annual program technical reviews and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
• Participate in program management working sessions and support program managers in executing day-to-day architecture activities.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on enterprise architecture development and architectural modeling efforts.
• Review architecture products, models, and engineering deliverables to ensure technical quality, consistency, and compliance with established architecture standards.
• Collaborate with program leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of enterprise architecture processes, modeling practices, and architecture methodologies.
  
  
  

Required

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5-7 years of enterprise architecture and systems architecture experience supporting complex government or Department of Defense environments.
• 5 years of experience developing architectural models, mission architectures, and multiple DoDAF/UAF viewpoints using Cameo Systems Modeler and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
• Demonstrated experience performing mission pathway analysis, mission decomposition, capability analysis, architecture development, gap assessments, and risk assessments.
• Experience tracing requirements to architecture products and supporting capability-based analysis.
• Experience reading and interpreting government policy, regulations, and directives, with the ability to apply those interpretations fully and legally.

• Ability to support multiple projects, implement initiative management principles, business process development, business re-engineering, and strategic business projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Experience assessing Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or Explosives (CBRNE) detection systems, threats, and/or related policies.
• Experience working with the DHS CBRNE Office, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), or DHS.
• Experience leading and mentoring systems engineering teams while promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  
  
  

Clearance and Eligibility

• Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
  
  
  

Location

• Hybrid. Currently requires two day per week onsite at the DHS CBRNE Office located on the St. Elizabeths Campus in Washington, DC. This requirement may change to full-time onsite based on government needs.
