Swiss Cam Machine Operator

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Swiss Cam Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Swiss CAM machines, ensuring precise fabrication of components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operations, tooling offets and troubleshooting will drive efficiency and quality in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the creation of high-precision parts that meet rigorous standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work from drawings specifications and job layouts to understand part dimensions and tolerances
• Operational knowledge of measuring instruments (eg: micrometer, comparator, depth mic, guages, etc.) proficiently to verify part specifications
• Closely monitor machining operations such as centering, drilling, tapping, turning, forming, milling
• Operate multiple machines
• Feed raw materials into machines
• Grind raw materials as necessary
• Lubricate machines as needed with oil, grease, and coolant
• Make machine and tool adjustments as needed to ensure part dimensions are within tolerances
• Obtain and return tools as required
• Learn to change tooling and set proper dimensions via offsets or manual adjustments
• Maintain cutting tools in proper working order
• Checks parts per specification and ensure proper forms are completed during the job run
• Must be quality conscious and continuously look for quality improvements
• Read and interpret blueprints

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with counting and bagging parts that are ready to be cleaned and packaged
• Preliminary cleaning of parts using the centrifuge machine
• Separate parts from chips
• Visually check parts for burrs or product defects
• Count parts using weighing scale and/or manually
• Bag parts to prep for cleaning and packaging

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• · Machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment is a benefit in this position
• · Maintain clean and orderly work area, including equipment and perform all assignments in safe manner
• · Exhibit core values of care, honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility
• · Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
• · Perform basic math calculations
• · Ability to work at established levels of production
• · Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, crouch and kneel
• · Vision requirements include (corrective and non) close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus
• Comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures
