Payroll Specialists Job Description:
- Accountable and responsible for quality service for clients.
- Contacts and assist clients in process of obtaining information for payroll production.
- Produce tax related reports; verify totals, responds to/resolves client questions.
- Deliver quality customer service.
- Demonstrate efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and multiple deadlines.
- Assist in reconciliation of payroll accounts as needed.
- Maturity in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Compile payroll data reports such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
- Poll electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
- Contact various clients for any missing information.
- Process weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll system.
- Pull payroll management reports from payroll software system.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma and two or more years of office-related experience and/or training.
- Proven ability in MS Office, data entry and office equipment.
- Proven ability in customer service, and problem resolution.
- Experience with telephone, headset, 10-key calculator, PC, photo copier, printers.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
