Garage Door Installer
ABOUT THE POSITION
D&D Garage Doors is seeking dependable Garage Door Installers to install residential garage doors, tracks, springs, openers, and related hardware. This hands-on field position is suited to mechanically inclined candidates who take pride in safe, accurate installation and professional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Measure openings and assess installation conditions before beginning work.
- Install garage door sections, tracks, rollers, cables, springs, hardware, and automatic openers.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobspecific installation equipment.
- Adjust, align, balance, and test installed doors and openers for safe operation.
- Follow manufacturer instructions, company installation procedures, and safety requirements.
- Maintain clean job sites and protect customer property.
- Communicate with customers and team members and complete installation paperwork.
- Collect customer payment when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Garage door installation or related construction experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow measurements, instructions, and established safety procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Fulltime field position involving lifting, climbing, bending, reaching, and repetitive tasks.
- Work in garages and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Training pay typically $18.00$20.00 per hour, based on relevant skills and experience; transition to piecerate compensation after training.
