Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Coordination: Oversee daily operations of a short crew, assigning tasks to carpenters, laborers, and heavy equipment operators.
- Plan & Schedule: Read and interpret blueprints to determine construction methods, maintain work schedules, and adjust plans as needed for weather, supply delays, or staffing changes.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, ensure a safe work environment, and assist in training programs.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets project specifications, identify issues, and implement corrections.
- Resource Management: Coordinate material deliveries, manage equipment, and ensure resources are adequate for project timelines.
- Communication: Liaise with supervisors, other trades, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.
- Problem Solving: Address on-site conflicts, equipment malfunctions, and other operational challenges.
- Record Keeping: Maintain time reporting, job-cost, and other operational records.
