Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience REQUIRED (entry-level applicants with strong mechanical knowledge may be considered).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Experience with brakes, suspension, steering, engine diagnostics, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, and general maintenance.
- Ability to use diagnostic scanners and repair software.
- Own basic hand tools (larger shop equipment provided).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and maintains a positive attitude.
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to continue learning and stay current with new automotive technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections and accurately diagnose mechanical issues.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brakes, and fluid services.
- Communicate findings clearly with management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all shop safety procedures.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when necessary.
