Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and reliable Softball Instructor to provide high-quality instruction to athletes of varying ages and skill levels. This role focuses on developing strong fundamentals, confidence, and a positive learning environment while delivering a great experience for players and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group softball instruction
- Teach fundamentals including hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and catching (as applicable)
- Design and lead age-appropriate drills and training plans
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional training environment
- Communicate clearly with athletes and parents regarding progress and goals
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, proper technique, and injury prevention
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled lessons, clinics, and camps
- Follow facility policies, scheduling procedures, and customer experience standards
Qualifications
- Previous softball playing experience (high school, collegiate, or equivalent preferred)
- Prior coaching or instructional experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of softball fundamentals and skill development
- Ability to work with athletes of various ages and skill levels
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and leadership qualities
- Dependable, organized, and self motivated
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Skills
- Collegiate or high-level competitive playing experience
- Experience working with youth athletes
- Pitching or catching specialization (a plus)
- Ability to run clinics, camps, or team training sessions
