We are currently looking for a Printing Pres Operator. The Printing Press Operator will be responsible for working with printing team to ensure completion of schedules working either as pressman, or operator in a dynamic work environment. Where assigned, the individual will be responsible for controlling on-press activities including the setup, maintenance, and operation of sheet-fed offset and digital presses to accurately produce product to customer and quality control specifications. The operator will also assist in coordinating printing consumables, job staging, organization and movement including shipment preparation to external partners.
This is an on-site role and will require the candidate to work on-site daily in the Farmingdale office.

We offer a competitive total compensation package. The hourly pay range for this role is $30.00 to $41.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities
- Works as operator or pressman on Heidelberg Versafire digital and Speedmaster XL75 6-Color offset presses.
- Knowledgeable in Operation, Maintenance and Set-Up of all machinery/equipment in the press shop
- Perform proper and timely maintenance consistent with machine operational manuals, manufacturer specific instructions and established preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensures run quality with continual monitoring of print processes and material performances, and lead in troubleshooting deviations when applicable
- Adherence to, and completion of press schedule
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with company safety guidelines, procedures and 5S standards
- Assist in training Press Operator and other team members as assigned
- Provide feedback to lead/supervisor as to continuous improvement opportunities within the department to further establish common, and well-defined practices.
- Perform transactional processes, and ensures system accuracy of completed print jobs
- Organize paper, and consumables inventory
- Basic on-press problem solving/root cause analysis
- Ability to discern color changes, double images, position and registration changes
- Basic knowledge of on-press ink density management systems
- General understanding of color profiling systems as they apply to digital printing
- Basic understanding of CIP2 transferal and data usage
- Understanding of G7 standards and applications to on-press dot gain
- Knowledge of the chemistry involved in promoting an acceptable on-press balance
- Basic knowledge of press maintenance and exercise to maintain healthy equipment
- Understanding and adherence to all standard work procedures and safety requirements
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors and peers
- 3-5 Years of prior press or press room experience preferred
- Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn
- Must be capable of moving weights in range of 10 – 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Intermediate level computer knowledge
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Ability to print accurate and quality work in the prescribed time allotted by the schedule
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work environment
- Exemplifies versatility and a willingness to take on additional press room responsibilities
