Safety and Compliance Lead

Position Summary:

CZT Energy USA, Inc. is seeking a hands on Safety and Compliance Lead to strengthen safety performance at our Sealy manufacturing facility. This position leads the site's daily safety work system by identifying serious risks, setting priorities, assigning work, verifying corrective actions, and escalating unresolved hazards to plant leadership. The Lead works directly with production, maintenance, engineering, HR and Administration, temporary staffing partners, and the site safety team to prevent serious injuries and build reliable compliance practices.

Essential Responsibilities

• Establish weekly safety priorities and assign clear deliverables to the Safety Coordinator and Safety Training and Field Operations Specialist.
• Maintain one corrective action register for OSHA, consultant, insurance, staffing agency, internal audit, and incident findings; verify completion in the field before closure.
• Lead serious injury potential prevention activities involving lockout tagout, hazardous energy, machine guarding, manual mode operation, maintenance work, and high risk job hazard analyses.
• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to assess and verify guards, interlocks, light curtains, two hand controls, and equipment modifications before equipment returns to production.
• Lead investigations of serious incidents and near misses; turn findings into effective engineering controls, procedures, training, and follow up actions.
• Establish and use a stop work and escalation process for imminent danger conditions; communicate unresolved risk directly to plant leadership.
• Review safety observations, training completion, inspections, and corrective action status; provide a concise monthly dashboard to HR and Administration and plant leadership.
• Strengthen safety expectations for employees, contractors, and temporary workers across shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• Five or more years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, metalworking, or similarly high risk environment.
• Practical field based knowledge of machine guarding and OSHA lockout tagout requirements, including 29 CFR 1910.147 and 29 CFR 1910.212.
• Experience leading corrective actions, incident investigations, audits, and cross functional safety improvements.
• Confidence working directly with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Strong written communication, organization, and ability to convert risk findings into practical action plans.
• OSHA 30 certification is required or strongly preferred. ASP, CSP, CMSE, OSHA 500 or 501, or comparable credentials are preferred.
• English Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.

Work Environment and Schedule:

This is an on site manufacturing role. The position requires regular time on the production floor and the ability to work around machinery, noise, moving equipment, and other industrial conditions while using required personal protective equipment. The normal schedule is full time; flexibility is required to support high risk work, investigations, training, and different production shifts when needed.
