What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Safety & Compliance Manager position at RNDY TRANSPORT INC?
We are seeking a proactive Transportation Safety & Compliance Manager. This is a field-heavy role.
You are expected to be on the yard performing physical inspections of trucks and trailers personally. This is not a "desk only" position; you will be checking equipment, verifying maintenance issues firsthand, and ensuring our fleet remains DOT-compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical Fleet Inspections: Conduct regular, hands-on physical inspections of all tractors and trailers. You must be willing and able to work in a yard environment, inspect undercarriages, check lights/tires, and document defects manually and digitally.
Preventive Maintenance Coordination: Translate physical findings into actionable maintenance plans.
Regulatory Compliance: Manage all FMCSA and DOT compliance requirements. Ensure driver qualification files, HOS logs, and equipment maintenance records are 100% audit-ready. Technology & Documentation:
Requirement:
Field Experience: Must be comfortable working in a shop/yard environment and performing manual inspections on heavy-duty equipment.
You don't mind getting your hands dirty to ensure our fleet is safe and legal.
Must be computer savvy. You will input inspection data into our management systems. If it isn't documented, it didn't happen. Must be fully bilingual on English and Spanish.
Pay: Up to $500.00 per week
