The Purpose:
As a general shop laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the production and shipping departments, to include forklift operation, runner, packer, etc. Must be able to follow instructions and be able to lift over fifty pounds on a consistent basis as needed. Experience in a shop environment is preferred.

The Purpose:
As a general shop laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the production and shipping departments, to include forklift operation, runner, packer, etc. Must be able to follow instructions and be able to lift over fifty pounds on a consistent basis as needed. Experience in a shop environment is preferred.
The Job:
- Moving equipment and/or materials in a shop environment using material handling equipment.
- Ability to operate industrial vehicles and equipment.
- Transport items to and from designated areas.
- Load and unload designated trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Comply with all safe equipment operating practices regarding hearing, eye, and hand protection, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one year of experience within a shop environment
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
- Forklift certification is required and/or ability to obtain such certification
- Construction background helpful
- Exhibit industry experience helpful
- Must have a basic set of hand tools, to include hammer, tape measure, level, and framing square
- Reliable transportation
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Potential exposure to high levels of dust, dirt, and particles.
- Higher than average noise levels due to multiple power tools and industrial equipment being used at once.
- Non-climate controlled area.
- Potential hazard from operating/being around industrial machinery as well as heights
- Regularly required to hear and talk.
- Required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The position is very active, and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds
