Who You Are and What You’ll Do:
You are passionate about life sciences and making a difference to cancer patients, their families, and healthcare providers. We are seeking an IT Desktop Support professional to provide comprehensive technical support to our employees, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems in a Microsoft Windows environment. This is a 100% onsite role, requiring hands-on troubleshooting, user support, and system administration. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades in IT, with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
Job Responsibilities:
User Support & Ticketing System
- Provide deskside and remote support for onsite and remote employees (~40 onsite out of 75 total).
- Handle IT support tickets using Zendesk (prior experience is a plus but can be learned).
- Run reports from Zendesk and manage the ticketing workflow.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 issues, including software/application problems (e.g., Excel not closing).
Hardware & Device Management
- Image and deploy Windows-based laptops for new users (no imaging software used).
- Perform basic hardware replacements (e.g., swap batteries, hard drives).
- Manage RMA processes: coordinate repairs with Lenovo, initiate returns, and oversee service requests.
System Administration & Software Support
- Support and manage user access via Active Directory and Okta.
- Assist with Zoom troubleshooting and IT needs.
- Onboard and offboard employees, ensuring proper access and IT setup.
Operations & Process Development
- Oversee and refine Service Level Agreements (SLAs): document and develop new SLAs as needed.
- Ensure office IT systems are operational and employees have the necessary support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong experience supporting Windows environments (Mac knowledge is a plus but not required).
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft Windows 10 & 11, and Zoom.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate Zendesk for ticketing and reporting.
- Basic hardware troubleshooting and repair experience (battery swaps, hard drive replacements, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide in-office solutions efficiently.
- Strong collaborative approach and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Physical requirements: Must be local and able to work onsite 100% every day, sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms. Often requires lifting up to 20 pounds, may involve bending and reaching to retrieve items.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support role.
- Familiarity with Lenovo hardware and managing RMA processes.
- Ability to develop and improve IT documentation and SLAs.

Compensation
- For contract roles, the position will be sourced and managed by an outside agency. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
