We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Developer to support and enhance enterprise laboratory systems in a regulated environment. This individual will play a key role in configuring, developing, and optimizing LIMS workflows while partnering closely with QA, Lab Operations, and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain SAPIO LIMS and/or LabVantage workflows, sample lifecycles, tests, and specifications
- Develop and support custom configurations, scripts, business rules, and system extensions
- Configure and optimize laboratory processes including sample login, tracking, testing, results entry, review, and approval workflows
- Support integrations between LIMS and laboratory systems including instruments, CDS, ELN, SDMS, and related applications
- Participate in Computer System Validation (CSV) activities including URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and execution
- Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA data integrity requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support ongoing system enhancements, upgrades, and patches
- Collaborate cross functionally throughout the SDLC with QA, Lab Operations, and IT teams
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration guides
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience supporting or developing LIMS platforms such as SAPIO or LabVantage
- Experience working within regulated laboratory or healthcare environments
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and LIMS integrations
- Experience with Java development and backend application architecture preferred
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SQL databases, and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Python, or microservices architecture is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Understanding of IT security, compliance, and audit readiness processes
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
