Power Electronics Design & Development
- Design and develop isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters
- Architect power supply circuits for high reliability applications
- Perform worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), derating analysis, and stress analysis
- Conduct power loss calculations, efficiency optimization, and thermal analysis
- Design magnetics including transformers and inductors (core selection, winding design, thermal considerations)
- Develop simulation models using LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent tools
- Create schematics and support PCB layout for power electronics systems
- Support EMI/EMC design and compliance with applicable industry standards
- Perform circuit simulation, validation, and electrical characterization
- Conduct bench testing using oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and digital multimeters
- Support product qualification, validation, and release to manufacturing
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support manufacturing, test, and product engineering teams
- Troubleshoot electrical design and production issues
- Optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, design reports, and technical specifications
- Participate in design reviews and technical presentations
- Collaborate with hardware, test, manufacturing, and program teams
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics or DC-DC converter design
- Strong experience with power supply design and converter topologies
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Experience with circuit simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, DMMs)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience designing high reliability power electronics
- Experience with EMI/EMC design and compliance
- Experience with thermal analysis and efficiency optimization
- Experience with transformer and inductor design
- Experience supporting product development from concept through production
- Experience working in regulated or high-reliability environments
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
