We are looking for two Senior Managers, Supply Chain to join a defense and space manufacturing client onsite in Palm Bay, Florida and Fort Wayne, Indiana. This person should be a subject matter expert in Supply Chain acquisition processes from proposal stage through Program award and execution. They should have experience in a similar role, at another defense or aerospace company, and be able to work onsite.
This role has a 9/80 work schedule so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working 9 out of every 14 days – totally 80 hours worked – with every other Friday off.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Business Unit cost, schedule, and technical performance while ensuring customer and company objectives are achieved, including on-time delivery, quality, and affordability.
- Monitor program risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful program execution.
- Assess feasibility of materials, components, specifications, and requirements while supporting product development activities, proposal efforts, and engineering change impacts across the supply chain.
- Maintain strong knowledge of baseline-driven execution and Change Management processes, including project status reviews, forecasting, budgeting, EVMS tracking, and reporting.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to support program goals, customer expectations, and corporate objectives related to sales, orders, profitability, and operational performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate Supply Chain activities into program development and execution strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Supply Chain professionals across varying levels of experience.
- Drive supply chain transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects focused on operational efficiency and performance optimization.
- Analyze business and operational requirements within Supply Chain Management and Operations to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Utilize hands-on, cross-functional problem-solving approaches to identify operational pain points and implement effective solutions.
- Champion best-in-class supply chain processes through strong business acumen, technical expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee staffing, recruiting, employee development, engagement, retention, and training initiatives for the team.
- Lead contract negotiations and administration activities, including Subcontracts, Letter Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Sole Source Agreements.
- Establish and manage key contractual and supplier milestones, including preliminary and critical reviews, while evaluating supplier capacity and capabilities.
- Ensure suppliers can meet production demands through proactive material flow management, inventory optimization, and supply continuity planning.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges while identifying opportunities for supplier performance improvement and cost reduction.
- Initiate and manage corrective action activities when necessary.
- Provide timely and accurate Supply Chain reporting and status updates to leadership and external customers.
- Serve as a motivated self-starter with strong knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain processes and Business Unit performance management related to technical scope, schedule, and cost.
- Manage complex subcontract activities, including hardware, software, services, and production-related subcontracts.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and functional teams.
- Lead and oversee direct reports to ensure productivity, workflow efficiency, and achievement of team objectives.
- Operate effectively as both a leader and collaborative team member within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Support talent management and employee performance evaluation activities.
- Manage departmental and program budgets while supporting monthly variance analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations and internal company procedures.
- Support Small Business program initiatives and supplier diversity efforts.
- Develop spending plans, payment forecasts, and variance reporting metrics.
- Execute strategic direction established by Program and functional leadership teams.
- Travel to customer and supplier sites as needed.
- 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in supply chain, subcontracts, A&D, and EVMS.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience
- Experience working at a direct competitor in the aerospace and defense space
- Experience in the following contract types: FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost-Plus (w/fixed-fee, incentive fee, or award fee)
- Experience managing budgets and sales forecasting.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
- Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
Salary : $190,000 - $215,000
