- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
- Minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher;
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful secondary experience in a supervisory or administrative role;
- Valid Texas Administrator’s/Principal certification
- Demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills
- Familiarity with the needs of high school students

Essential Functions
- Analyze high school district progress monitoring, benchmark scores and other student achievement data. Make recommendations for improvement and monitor resulting action plans.
- Collaborate with curriculum coordinators to conduct campus visits, problem-solve, respond to data, and build instructional capacity.
- Plan and coordinate professional development regarding curriculum, assessments, data, and policy for campus personnel and district leaders.
- Assist with the development and implementation of programs to improve student achievement (e.g., summer school, camps, acceleration programs, interventions, gifted and talented).
- Plan, organize, and facilitate district-wide teacher professional development for all high school courses.
- Oversee high school summer school, including planning, communications, training, scheduling, materials, and payroll.
- Update course descriptions and offerings, registration procedures, and placement handbooks.
- Maintain Advanced Courses list for exemption.
- Manage the high school course catalog in eSchoolPlus; ensure accurate PEIMS reporting.
- Set progress report and report card processing dates, in collaboration with Information Services.
- Communicate placement testing, pass/fail options, and final exam schedules.
- Update the master schedule handbook, the list of master course numbers, and the
- Assist master schedulers/principals in determining staffing needs and provide input to human resources based on students' course requests and current staff.
- Coordinate the programs for Title II, Part A, Title I, state compensatory education, and dyslexia funding.
- Supervise and support assigned coordinators, conduct goal-setting, and complete evaluations.
- Implement district initiatives, including but not limited to curriculum writing projects.
- Review and approve overnight and out-of-state field trip requests, ensuring that trips meet district policy and regulations.
- Assist with student placement and graduation requirement.
- Collaborate with Guidance and Counseling on transcript concerns.
- Manage district NCAA account, including inquiries, course additions, and any other NCAA requests.
- Train campus administrators on graduation committees and alternate graduation processes.
- Assist in the development of the district UIL calendar, develop district UIL documents and communicate and train on UIL rules and guidelines
- Establish and maintain the District Assessment Calendar for High School.
- Assist in developing or updating policies, processes and regulations related to high school curriculum and instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and Accountability and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
