Quality Control Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all fabrication and construction activities meet the required quality standards as per client specifications, international codes, and company procedures. This role involves supervising QA/QC personnel, coordinating inspections, maintaining documentation, and interfacing with internal departments and clients to support the delivery of high-quality products and services in the oil and gas fabrication sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Oversight and Supervision
· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of quality inspectors and technicians.
· Ensure quality control procedures are followed during welding, assembly, painting, and NDT processes.
· Oversee the implementation of quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
2. Inspection and Testing
· Plan and coordinate inspections (incoming, in-process, and final).
· Review and verify material certificates, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder qualifications.
· Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and witness testing when required.
· Monitor weld quality, dimensional checks, and overall fabrication integrity.
3. Documentation and Reporting
· Maintain and review QA/QC documentation including inspection test plans (ITPs), quality dossiers, and reports.
· Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to management and clients.
· Ensure all quality records are properly filed and traceable.
4. Compliance and Standards
· Ensure fabrication work complies with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO).
· Support internal and external audits, including client and third-party inspections.
· Enforce safety, health, and environmental procedures in all quality-related activities.
5. Communication and Coordination
· Liaise with project managers, engineers, production, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
· Conduct toolbox talks, quality briefings, and training sessions for QA/QC team and production personnel.
· Participate in kick-off meetings, quality meetings, and pre-inspection meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
