Private Equity Fund Accountant
Our client, a leading private equity firm, is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for private equity funds and business development companies (BDCs)
- Record capital activity, investment transactions, and management fee calculations
- Assist with investor reporting, capital calls, and distributions
- Support audit, tax, and regulatory filings in coordination with external partners
- Reconcile general ledger activity and maintain supporting schedules
- Contribute to process improvements and systems enhancements as the firm continues to scale
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund administration, or at an investment manager
- Strong understanding of private equity fund accounting and/or BDC structures
- Solid technical foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and initiative to work in a fast-paced environment
