As a Private Equity Staff / Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive financial and operational support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Private Equity Fund Accounting:
- Prepare / maintain fund accounting records, including capital account allocations, waterfall calculations, and investor allocations.
- Reconcile investment activity, including contributions, distributions, and capital calls.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepare support for annual regulatory compliance filings with the SEC.
Management Company Accounting:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for private equity management companies.
- Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, cash reconciliations, and budgeting/forecasting.
- Assist with payroll and other administrative financial tasks.
- Initiate wire transfers
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and review tax workpapers, including K-1s, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct basic tax research
Client Collaboration and Support:
- Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Assist with audits, investor relations, and regulatory filings as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to enhance client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 0-3 years of experience in private equity fund accounting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, private equity accounting principles, and partnership structures.
- Experience with Investran and CCH a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
