Senior Database Administrator (DB2, SQL, Oracle)

Job Overview

Pay Range: $59.80hr - $64.80hr

Requirement/Must Have

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 15 years combined experience in database administration for DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, and Oracle 10g and above.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, and database administration.
• Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS sub-system point in time recovery.
• Advanced knowledge of JCL.
• In depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform.
• In depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support.
• In depth knowledge of ISPF.
• In depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler.
• In depth knowledge of COBOL.
• In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools.
• In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of z/OS software monitoring tools.
• In depth knowledge of technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordinating.
• Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management.
• Solid working knowledge of IBI z/OS service support.
• Solid working knowledge of AFOPER commands.
• Solid working knowledge of RACF.
• Solid working knowledge of CICS.
• Solid working knowledge of IOF.
• Solid working knowledge of the technical requirements of Disaster Recovery.
• Solid working knowledge of Oracle application integration, performance management, and database administration.
• Solid working knowledge of MSSQL application integration, performance management, and database administration.
• Solid working knowledge of verification testing techniques for infrastructure change management.
• Working knowledge of z/OS EXITs.
• Working knowledge of BJS.
• Working knowledge of Windows Servers.
• Working knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, SSIS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas meet standards for data requirements.
• Assist in the design, development, amendment, and optimization of the schema to meet system requirements.
• Develop database and warehousing design across multiple platforms and computing environments.
• Work as part of a team to develop an overall data architecture that supports organizational needs and meets security standards.
• Perform daily operational and database administration activities.
• Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Perform SQL Code reviews.
• Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff.
• Perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.
