Job Description: Pay Range: $37.25hr - $42.25hrThe Project Manager (Environmental / Hydrogeologic) is responsible for coordinating and completing complex hydrogeological project evaluations and feasibility reviews for existing and proposed land application sites. This role utilizes electronic permitting and information technology systems to assess historical and background groundwater monitoring data, support permitting activities, and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations. The position works closely with permitting, enforcement, and technical personnel while maintaining accurate project tracking, data systems, and public communications.Responsibilities:Coordinate and complete complex hydrogeological project evaluations and feasibility reviews using available electronic permitting and information technology tools.Provide written technical review comments and recommendations to permit engineers as requested.Review, initiate, and manage complex groundwater monitoring project plans and specifications for industrial and domestic wastewater facilities in accordance with established policy and guidance.Request and coordinate intra-agency input as required and collaborate with enforcement and permitting personnel.Maintain groundwater data collection and storage systems, ensuring accurate project status updates within tracking systems and electronic permitting platforms.Provide technical information to the public, industrial representatives, and agricultural representatives, coordinating with appropriate internal personnel as needed.Prepare project status reports and updates for upper management.Support presentations and prepare written reports related to project findings and progress.Requirement/Must Have:Proficiency with electronic government permitting applications such as ePermitting or equivalent systems.Extensive working knowledge of groundwater hydrogeology, geochemistry, contaminant transport, and hydrogeologic investigation techniques.General understanding of environmental programs as they relate to hydrogeology.Knowledge of federal and state groundwater and wastewater permitting and compliance requirements.Ability to interpret and apply environmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and presentations.Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments to meet schedules and deadlines.Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.Working knowledge of database management and geospatial software.Understanding of state government environmental regulatory programs, processes, and objectives.Experience:Minimum of five years of experience working as a Project Manager.Preferred experience includes at least five years performing hydrogeological reviews and evaluations for land application and groundwater monitoring sites.Preferred experience includes at least five years managing databases and utilizing geospatial software.Preferred experience includes at least five years working with groundwater hydrogeology, geochemistry, contaminant transport, and hydrogeologic investigation techniques.Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering results aligned with organizational objectives.Skills:Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Ability to deliver clear, timely, and data-driven project performance reporting to support informed decision-making.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Qualification And Education:Master’s degree in hydrology, geology, or geological engineering with one year of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree in hydrology, geology, or geological engineering with two years of related experience.Completion of ePermitting Power User training or demonstrated expertise with electronic government permitting applications.
