Facilities Technician

• Responsible for performing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting facility systems, and supporting building operations across multiple sites.
• Ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance activities across multiple buildings, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve facility system issues related to HVAC, alarms, utilities, and building systems.
• Conduct routine and corrective maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform building inspections, identify deficiencies, and complete repairs through closure.
• Monitor and respond to building automation and alarm systems, including participation in on-call rotations.
• Respond to emergency situations such as system failures and utility interruptions.
• Support basic laboratory equipment maintenance, including inspections and minor adjustments.
• Perform cleanup and provide physical support for facilities and lab operations.
• Coordinate and support vendor activities following troubleshooting and evaluation.
• Escort contractors and assist during service visits, inspections, and repairs.
• Support scheduling and execution of vendor work while ensuring safety and compliance standards.
• Act as a point of contact for vendors when specialized repairs are required.

Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification And Education:

• Relevant technical training or equivalent experience in facilities maintenance preferred.

Experience:

• Experience in facilities maintenance, building systems, or related technical field preferred.
