Potential Key Responsibilities
- Perform trending analysis using Excel databases, inspection records, and engine performance data to identify patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities; create and publish clear, actionable reports for engineering and customers.
- Conduct detailed Quality Review of inspection records to verify completeness, identify nonconformities, mistakes, or outliers, and confirm inspection scope aligns with engineering direction.
- Lead and perform First Part Review (FPR); establish inspection standards and scope for new or repeating hardware types and ensure subsequent inspections follow the approved criteria.
- Coordinate inspection priorities and clinic/operations sequence with requesting engineers and production leadership.
- Manage material handling and logistics tasks: partner with on-site logistics providers and requestors to ensure hardware, components, and tooling are delivered on time to the correct work areas; maintain accurate inventory and data logs.
- Administer tool control program: track tool library inventory, update usage databases, anticipate tooling needs from upcoming jobs, order/receive tools, and maintain calibration and condition records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in root-cause/corrective-action activities as needed.
- Maintain compliance with customer, AS9100/ISO 9001, and internal quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance within aerospace, defense, power generation, or precision manufacturing (turbine engine MRO experience highly desired).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas, data sorting/filtering); experience building trend reports is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods (visual, dimensional, NDT basics).
- Experience performing or reviewing First Article Inspections (FAI/FPR) to AS9102 or similar standards.
- Comfortable working in both office and shop-floor environments.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, customer driven operation.
- Strong communication skills – able to interface confidently with engineers, logistics partners, technicians, and customers.
- US Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA/EASA regulations)
- Previous tool-crib or calibrated-tool control experience
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Corridor, Quantum, etc.)
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or similar process-improvement training
