Job Summary
The Quality Team Lead at Cyient, Inc. will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of quality professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services that meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards. This role involves leading quality initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Coordinators, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards in alignment with company policies and client requirements.
* Oversee the execution of quality control activities, including inspections, audits, and testing, across various projects and deliverables.
* Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process improvement.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to integrate quality practices throughout the project lifecycle.
* Drive the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of quality operations.
* Develop and deliver training programs on quality best practices, tools, and methodologies to team members and other relevant staff.
* Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding quality-related concerns, providing timely and effective resolutions.
* Prepare and present regular quality reports to management, highlighting performance, achievements, and challenges.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, certifications, and internal quality management systems.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Proven experience in implementing and managing quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Strong understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e.g., statistical process control, FMEA, root cause analysis).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are highly desirable.
* Experience in the specific industry relevant to Cyient's projects (e.g., aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, utilities) is a significant advantage.
