Engine Performance & Structural Analysis (Aerospace)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Aerospace Engineer with hands-on expertise in gas turbine performance analysis and structural methods, ideally gained through direct work with Pratt & Whitney. In this role, you’ll develop and execute engine performance models, analyze test data, support fleet health monitoring, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives across multiple programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform steady-state and transient cycle analysis using NPSS or similar tools.
- Develop and match engine cycles for aircraft and industrial gas turbines.
- Conduct parametric modeling for conceptual and preliminary design to meet PSRD requirements.
- Analyze engine test data, evaluate system performance, and update models to reflect test results.
- Support on-wing engine health monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for air transport operators.
- Provide technical feedback, maintenance recommendations, and fleet performance reports.
- Perform stability and operability analyses for engine systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in modeling and analysis.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- 10 years of aerospace experience, preferably with Pratt & Whitney.
- Proficiency Level 3 (PL3) or higher in Structural Analysis recognized by Pratt & Whitney.
- Strong experience using NPSS, Unigraph, SolidWorks, UG/NX, ANSYS, and Teamcenter.
- Skilled in Python, MATLAB, or VBA for performance modeling and data automation.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, technical drawings, and performance documentation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with P&W ESW Application and Microsoft Office tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
