Cycle City Hawaii is now hiring a Parts Consultant!

The Parts Consultant job duties consist of providing an outstanding, high level of customer service to our customers selling parts over the counter, on the phone, or through email. The Parts Consultant also assists the Sales and Service Departments with parts requests. The Parts Consultant must keep current on products and be knowledgeable about motorcycle parts.

Pay Range: $17.00-$18.00, plus commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the Parts Consultant include the following:

• Provide prompt, dependable, and high-quality parts and accessories consulting for vehicle sales to customers by using current pro-active feature/benefit sales processes.
• Enhance the value of the new and pre-owned vehicle sales process through personalized parts and accessories consulting.
• Coordinate ordering, delivery and installation of desired parts and accessories between the Parts, Service, and Sales departments to meet the customer’s expectations.
• Support and encourage use of the Service Department for installation of parts and accessories sold through the dealership.
• Maintain the computerized inventory control system along with net profit objectives.
• Support cross-selling motorclothes, general merchandise, HOG memberships, finance products, extended warranty & service contracts, etc., with all new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Contact customers using mailing lists, tickler files, and personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Parts Manager with attaining retail sales and profitability plans in the department.
• Assist the customers with determination of parts and accessory requirements and research merchandise in catalogues.
• Check merchandise received against purchase invoice and prepare products for showroom floor.
• Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports, etc.)
• Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, and appealing to customers.
• Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for Parts management.
• Attend training sessions to keep current with parts and accessories features and benefits as well as sales processes and sales department issues.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have knowledge and experience of motorcycle parts and accessories.
• One year of sales experience is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
