CAD Technician
📍 Location: North Carolina
We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support architectural and engineering projects through design development, construction documentation, and project closeout. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills and experience producing high-quality construction documents while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and revise architectural, structural, MEP, and security/access control drawings.
- Develop and maintain construction documents and technical drawings.
- Produce accurate as-built and record drawings.
- Maintain drawing version control and CAD/BIM standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and consultants.
- Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Support construction administration and project closeout documentation.
- Associate's degree in CAD/Drafting Technology, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of CAD drafting experience in architecture, engineering, or construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred).
- Experience preparing construction documents and technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Autodesk Certified Professional (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
- BIM Management certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with institutional, commercial, or public-sector renovation projects.
- Familiarity with ADA accessibility standards.
- Experience producing as-built and record drawings.
- AutoCAD
