yberTechs Consulting is looking for a multi-talented Level 1 Help Desk Technician who isn't afraid to leave the desk and get their hands dirty. We are a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP), and we need a team member who is just as comfortable resetting an Active Directory password as they are using a power drill to mount a server rack or install network equipment at a client jobsite.If you have experience in the MSP world and are looking for a role that breaks the monotony of "cubicle life" with active field projects, this is the position for you.What You’ll Be DoingThis is a hybrid role split between remote help desk support and on-site field installations.Help Desk Duties (approx. 60-70%):Serve as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email, and ticketing system.Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 issues: Password resets, printer connectivity, O365 administration, and workstation errors.Document all work clearly and efficiently in our PSA (Professional Services Automation) tool.Set up new user accounts and configure laptops/desktops for deployment.Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 engineers while maintaining ownership of the client experience.Field & Installation Duties (approx. 30-40%):Travel to client jobsites for physical installations of IT infrastructure.Use power tools (drills, drivers, saws) to mount TVs, monitors, cameras, and network racks into various surfaces (drywall, concrete, wood).Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6) in drop ceilings or through walls as needed.Perform "rack and stack" of servers, switches, and firewalls.Assist with office moves and equipment setups, ensuring neat cable management.What We RequireMSP Experience: Must have 2–3 years of proven experience working at a Managed Service Provider. We need someone who understands the pace, ticketing culture (SLAs), and multi-tenant environments associated with an MSP.Handyman/Tool Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools is required. You must be comfortable measuring, leveling, and mounting heavy equipment safely.Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.Stong understanding of Windows Server environments.Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wireless).Experience with RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne) and ticketing systems.Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
