Title: Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney - 2100 hours

Location: Chicago, Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 remote)

Compensation: $90K-$120K Bonus Potential (Origination, Hours)

We are on a continued path of growth and are looking to add a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney for our Chicago office (Associate and Partner opportunities available).

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice and representation to carriers and clients in workers' compensation defense claims, ensuring they receive the benefits and protections they are entitled to under the law. 2100 Billable Hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in workers' compensation hearings and appeals
• Provide legal counsel on issues related to workers' compensation laws and regulations
• Prepare and file legal documents, including briefs and motions
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
• Research relevant laws, statutes, and case law to support client cases
• Advise clients on their rights and options regarding their claims
• Maintain organized case files and documentation
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical professionals as needed
• 2100 Billable Hours
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensure in Illinois required, licensure in Indiana is a plus!
• 2 years personal injury defense experience/workers' compensation defense required
• Litigation experience is a plus
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent research and writing abilities
• Ability to handle a high volume of diverse cases effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
