VP of Construction

Position Overview
The VP of Construction will oversee all construction operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives for military housing projects and managing relationships with stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, focusing on military housing and MHPI initiatives.
• Develop and implement construction strategies that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting and financial management of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards throughout the construction process.
• Manage and mentor construction teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate project updates, address concerns, and build strong professional relationships.
• Monitor project schedules and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and final outcomes.
• Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate and approve resource allocation for construction activities, ensuring optimal use of materials and labor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on military housing and MHPI projects.
• Proven experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, and risk management in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, building codes, and construction safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience in single-family and multi-family residential construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with cost estimation and bid management processes.
