The ideal candidate will have general liability underwriting operations experience and managing a team of underwriting staff. What You Will Be Doing
As a Underwriting Director/Chief Underwriting Officer, you will work in an office-based environment in our Richmond, VA office or at our Pearl River, NY headquarters. You are an experienced underwriter manager or director, or current Chief Underwriting Officer with 10 years' experience ready to grow your career. You are experienced with underwriting policies in general liability, commercial, renewal and new business. You will be responsible for a team of 7 direct reports at the Richmond office and 15 reports from the NY office. You will be successful with mentorship and training of new employees and progressing the careers of more tenured employees.

- Managing Profit & Loss of the Underwriting Operations office(s)
- Overseeing P&L, hiring, training & managing staff, overall staff & office performance, as well as organizational growth initiatives
- Managing people/Leadership Skills
- Conflict Resolution & Critical Thinking Skills
- Understanding of General Liability Underwriting, Commercial Underwriting, Renewal Business, Property & Casualty, Environmental Underwriting, to name a few of our specialties
