Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Roofing Superintendent to oversee commercial and metal roofing projects. The ideal candidate will manage on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel to various job sites, where you will lead a team and coordinate with subcontractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lead and manage on-site teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of tasks.
• Review and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate project implementation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, managing schedules and ensuring timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets, tracking project expenses and providing updates to management.
• Implement and uphold EM-385 safety standards and protocols across all job sites.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the course of the project.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and quality assurance reports.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofing Superintendent or similar role in commercial and metal roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with metal roofing systems and installation techniques.
• Experience with scheduling, cost estimation, and quality control processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Demonstrated team leadership capabilities and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to various job sites as required.
• Knowledge of federal construction regulations and standards, including USACE and NAVFAC guidelines.
