This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction and a passion for coastal work. You'll be responsible for managing crews, equipment, and logistics across multiple job sites in Maryland and Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations for marine and shoreline construction projects.
- Supervise crews performing dredging, riprap installation, precast concrete placement, and marsh creation.
- Manage site logistics, materials, and subcontractors.
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project goals.
- Travel regularly between project sites in Maryland and Virginia.
- 5 years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction.
- Proven leadership in field supervision and crew management.
- Strong understanding of marine equipment, erosion control, and environmental permitting.
- Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.
